12-year-old in custody after stabbing stepfather

A 12-year-old Salt Lake City boy was being held in a juvenile detention facility Tuesday, awaiting possible charges in the stabbing of his stepfather.Salt Lake City police Detective Dennis McGowan said the boy’s immediate future would be determined by a juvenile justice court judge this week. Meanwhile, the boy’s stepfather — stabbed as he allegedly tried to break up a fight between the 12-year-old and a brother — was serious but stable condition at Intermountain Medical Center on Tuesday.Pol...
